This is our very first Asparagasm out of the smoke and what. a. location! Matara, Matara, Matara, mm mm, what can we say about you? Possibly one of the most beautiful event and celebration and retreat locations in the land, with 29 acres of stunning grounds from the go naked forest (dare ya), to a barefoot meditation in the stone circle or a mosey among wild grass plantations and Japanese orchards the spaces are tantalising, charming and designed to stimulate the senses and promote wellbeing.

As part of an eclectic series of Matara’s Supper & Conversations Pop-Up evenings Asparagasm has been invited to host the next supper – an Indian inspired feast created and prepared by Chef Mahlon at the Matara Kitchen.

Proceeds from this dinner support Action Against Hunger and tickets to this event include a welcome glass of champagne courtesy of Taittinger supporter of this year’s Supper Heroes for Action Against Hunger. Asparagasm pale ale will also be served at the feast. Goes great with a curry that.

So, about the win for dinner for 2 with accommodation on Friday 21st & Saturday 22nd November at The Royal Oak Tetbury nearby. Just go to and search for the name of the founder and the Head Gardener at Matara for a chance to win and send your answer by email to by Sunday 16th November. The winner plucked from the hat by a disreputable member of the Tetbury community will be notified immediately!
