Elect to come to the most apocalyptic Asparagasm to date after you’ve been to the ballot. In honour of Irish Nobel prize winner George Bernard Shaw – the passionate and vocal grandfather of Victorian-era vegetarianism – Asparagasm presents Shaw’s Redemption on Thursday 7th, Friday 8th and Saturday 9th May offering for the first time a democratic choice of dinner dates in The White Studio at Studio Spaces on atmospheric Pennington Street, E1.
Presented by Chefs Fredrik Bolin, of Disappearing Dining Club fame, and Paul Foster; Executive Chef for the soon to be born Asparagasm restaurant in Gloucestershire; town meets country in a culinary collision of vegan and gluten-free fine dining.
Your night begins with a welcome Dry Martini courtesy of Cotswold Dry gin, a heaven-scent lavender infused distillation with a cloudy twist or a fruit punch for the non-libatious and our licensed bar includes wines by Vintage Roots and Asparagasm pale ale from Stroud Brewery.
The dessert denouement welcomes a site-specific performance from the artiste Paka and Rusty, a life size fire-breathing mechanical horse. With installations from sensational steam punk sculpturalists, Circus Kinetica, we explore the wheel of the life with the four courses of the apocalypse and a sonic soundscape by Key Changes.
To conclude this seasonally-inspired great British feast, a board meeting of great taste as Paul Foster presents the latest incarnations of Asparagasm’s artisan almond milk vegan cheeses.
